IAG’s purpose is to make your world a safer place. To deliver on our purpose, we focus on initiatives and partnerships that build community resilience and help people and communities become safer, stronger, and more confident so they are ready for anything. We have a range of partnerships that align with and help us deliver our purpose. Community Sponsorship We are committed to building safer and more connected communities that have the capacity to grow and thrive, as communities that are more resilient are better prepared and bounce back faster from disasters. We aim to achieve this by taking a community-led approach. Our community partnerships include Australian Red Cross, NSW State Emergency Service, GIVIT, Conservation Volunteers Australia, CareerSeekers, Africa United Rugby League, Wilmot Community Hub, Common Groundz Community Café, and Catalysr. Business Sponsorship We recognize that collaboration is key to delivering our purpose and sharing knowledge through business events is an important enabler of collaboration. In FY20, IAG was the primary sponsor of the Shared Value Project’s inaugural virtual Shared Value Summit. IAG is proud to be a global Steering Committee member of the United Nations Environment Program Finance Initiative (UNEPFI) and a founding member of the Principles for Sustainable Insurance (PSI). In addition, IAG is a founding member of the Australian Business Roundtable for Disaster Resilience & Safer Communities (ABR). The ABR works collaboratively with government, business, and community stakeholders to effect change in public policy, increase investment aimed at building safer and more resilient communities, and improve the capacity of people and businesses to better withstand future natural disasters. Current ABR members are IAG, Australian Red Cross, Munich Re, Optus, and Westpac Group. Indigenous Sponsorship We believe connected and resilient communities are dependent on acknowledging and valuing our First Peoples. This is why we focus on supporting a range of organizations working in this space. We have partnerships with several organizations including Australian Indigenous Mentoring Experience (AIME), CareerTrackers, Jawun, Supply Nation, and Just Reinvest NSW. As part of Indigenous Business Month, IAG partnered with Melbourne University Business School and the First Nations Murra Business Program to run an awards program sponsored by its CGU brand. This support included providing grants through the CGU Wa-murayangkulang (meaning "walk forward") Awards to Indigenous small-to-medium-sized enterprise owners to help improve their capacity and capability to run successful businesses.

We give back and set one woman up in business for every new client project. Whilst we appreciate this is a small act. Setting a woman up in business directly impacts 6-12 family members and more broadly up to 50 village members benefit in Uganda. The rate of violence including domestic violence is reduced and children have been shown to attend school if the heads of families are in work/business. Each book sold buys a brick to our buy a book buy a brick project teaming up with a project in Nepal to support and education project and a rebuild of a school. Again whilst these are not huge projects our team and clients and actively involved in these projects and we involve as many people as we can so that those who wish to give time or funds can. The altruistic nature of Clariti means that we embed giving back as a fundamental aspect of all that we do not just as a CSR task its in our DNA. Our One Million and One Projects are our reason for being an a huge driver in all that we do. In 2014 we walked to Everest Base Camp raising funds for three charities. In 2017 we fund raised and traveled to Tanzania to support a home for abandoned children. Here we helped them move the home, paint beds, take down fencing, buy new mattresses and food. We actively encourage all of our team to mentor others and sit on pro bono Boards. It is part of our hiring process anyone who works alongside Clariti not only embraces altruism but practices it daily.
