We invest 5% of net profits after tax into the community each year, across more than 50 types of organisations, State authorities and bodies, Universities and Colleges, Government and Non-Government schools, Public Sector Associations, community organisations, charities, advocacy groups, development agencies and Not for Profits. We invest in a diverse range of initiatives across education, emergency services and health communities and wider society. This encompasses: Scholarships, Sponsorships, Grants, conferences and events, professional associations and bodies, professional development, training and mentoring, education awards, charity donations, emergency relief for natural disasters, micro finance and financial literacy programmes in Asia Pacific. To name some of them: The Australian Academy of Science, Australia Healthcare week 2021, The NSW Premier's Teachers Mutual Bank Aboriginal Education Scholarship, Bell Shakespeare, Stewart House, NSW Teachers Federation, Festival of Instrumental Music, Universities Australia, Flourish, ARTEXPRESS Virtual, APPA - Primary Principals Association, NSW Primary Principals Association, Public Education Foundation, APNA - Australian Primary Health, Australia College of Midwives, Girls on Fire and Emergency Services camp, Unisport and WA Education Awards. In 2021 we have also joined other industry leaders in Australia in supporting Asylum Seeker Initiatives through the Asylum Seeker Resource centre. Our bank has been partnering with development organisation CUFA since 2016 on the Children's Financial Literacy Program to enhance the financial knowledge of Cambodian children affected by poverty. Results include 24,196 children received financial literacy training, visited 70 schools and 1500 home, trained more than 500 teachers and resulted in more than 14,000 children opening savings accounts. We are committed to developing measurable actions in partnership with Aboriginal and Torres Strait stakeholders and organisations to support reconciliation. We communicate our commitment to reconciliation amongst our employees by providing opportunities to attend interactive workshops facilitated by Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples.

American Express Australia has four philanthropic partners who receive funding from our global Amex Foundation every year: Two Good Co, Australian Literacy and Numeracy Foundation, Clontarf Foundation, and Australian Business and Community Network. Between them they support Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander children living in regional and remote areas to read and write, help women who have experienced domestic violence or significant trauma to find employment, mentor high-potential students from schools in low-socio economic areas and teach life skills and discipline to young First Nations boys. This year, we also sponsored a scholarship at Gawura Indigenous College and at Western Sydney University, as well as rolled out our Internship Program with UNSW & WSU once again. We worked with the Rockpool Foundation on their initiative Hope Delivery to deliver meals to those in need, offered pro-bono financial abuse legal advice through the Redfern Legal Centre, and raised funds for not-for-profits including the Starlight Foundation, Dress for Success and Cancer Council. Our biggest annual campaign Shop Small, now in its 9th year, incentivises our customers to spend at small businesses to support their local community through an Amex Offer.

In 2021 we launched Daybreak, an accelerator for impactful ideas. ​​Twice a year for five years we will be supporting social enterprises and not-for-profits to bring innovative new ideas to life, with access to $160,000 of in-kind support. It s our biggest single commitment to giving back to the impact community in the best way we know how, making sure that great ideas take flight and create huge change in the world. Over the course of five years we will be donating $1.6 million of in-kind services.

We have a range of partnerships which align to and help us deliver our purpose. Community partnerships We work with communities and people to improve their resilience, so they increasingly feel ready for anything. Communities that are more resilient are better prepared and bounce back faster from disasters. We educate the community about their risk and what they can do to make themselves safer, through partnerships with emergency services and disaster resilience organisations. Our community partnerships include Australian Red Cross, NSW State Emergency Service, NSW RFS, GIVIT, Conservation Volunteers Australia, Lifeline and Fullstop Foundation. Industry collaboration We recognise that collaboration is key to delivering our purpose and sharing knowledge through business events is an important enabler of collaboration. In FY21 IAG was the primary sponsor of the Shared Value Project s virtual Shared Value Summit. IAG is proud to be a member of the United Nations Environment Program Finance Initiative (UNEPFI) and founding member of the Principles for Sustainable Insurance (PSI). In addition, IAG is a founding member of the Australian Business Roundtable for Disaster Resilience & Safer Communities (ABR). The ABR work collaboratively with government, business and community stakeholders to effect change in public policy, increase investment aimed at building safer and more resilient communities and improve the capacity of people and businesses to better withstand future natural disasters. Current ABR members are IAG, Australian Red Cross, Munich Re, Optus and Westpac Group. Indigenous Partnerships We believe connected and resilient communities are dependent on acknowledging and valuing our First Peoples. This is why we focus on supporting a range of organisations working in this space. We have partnerships with a number of organisations including Australian Indigenous Mentoring Experience (AIME), CareerTrackers, Jawun, Supply Nation, Just Reinvest NSW. IAG has played a leadership role in working with organisations in Western Sydney (Red Cross, Just Reinvest, Revenue NSW, DET NSW) to create the Learner Driver program. This program supports Indigenous people in the Mt Druitt area get a driver s licence. At a high level, the program increases the number of community members with driver licences & decreasing driver license offences. The intention is to facilitate inclusion through community members being socially and economically independent.

In FY21, Fortescue spent over $63.2 million in social investment. Donations of $2.8M to majorr charities (mostly RFDS, Ronald McDonald House, Salvation Army, Lifeline and MADALAH), sponsorships and partnerships of over $1.7m (Black Swan Theatre Company, Girls Academy, Hockey Australia/Pilbara Community Hockey Program, Port Hedland Seafarers, BighART, Hedland SHS, Roebourne District HS, South Hedland Swans/Swanettes FC, Up4IT, Hedland Womens Refuge and many others. We provided $146,000 in community grants (60 grants awarded throughout the year), we also invested in local Pilbara training programs worth over $32million in housing support and flights for Pilbara residential employees. We provided over $450,000 in in-kind support (employee volunteering and use of company equipment), and spent $1.2m on management overheads for our community development team. We work closely with over 20 Community Partners to support their work in the community through financial grants ($740K from the Clayton Utz Foundation in FY21), in kind (use of our office event spaces and meeting rooms), pro bono legal work and fundraising (over $135K in FY21). Our partners include Australian Red Cross, Wayside Chapel, FareShare and Wirrpanda Foundation. We work with Beacon Foundation, Daystar Foundation and Ardoch to run literacy and mentoring programs in schools in Brisbane, Melbourne, Perth and Sydney. The Firm is the sponsor of the Australian String Quartet and a proud patron of the arts with arts partnerships exhibiting established and emerging artists in our Melbourne and Sydney offices and a non acquisition art award in our Brisbane office.

Sodexo has a national sponsorship program aligned to its Corporate Social Responsibility roadmap - Better Tomorrow 2025. Our sponsorship program spend for FY20/21 totals more than $620,000 for our major sponsorships. It also budgets close to $150,000 per annum for local sports clubs, schools and community groups, located in areas where we operate, to apply for support. Some examples of our larger sponsorships: √¢‚Ǩ¢Stop Hunger: Sodexo directly supports people experiencing food insecurity and disadvantage through the work of our Stop Hunger Foundation. The Foundation donated $13,000 to Foodbank s bushfire relief and $53,000 for Red Cross during the 2020 summer bushfire crisis. √¢‚Ǩ¢Foodbank Australia: Over the past five years, we ve donated more than $130,000 to the Key Staples Program as part of our national partnership with Foodbank. Throughout the year, Sodexo employees volunteered at Foodbank warehouses and community kitchens and held fundraising events to meet the unprecedented demand for food relief due to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic. This year we raised an overall $32,103 for Foodbank Australia. Indigenous Partnerships: Since partnering with Clontarf in 2019, Sodexo has committed to investing time and experience into the Foundation s participants, beyond monetary support, to provide opportunities for young Indigenous men to be exposed to successful role models and employment prospects. This year, we have forged two new partnerships with Stars Foundation and Yalari as part of our ongoing commitment to improve educational outcomes for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples. The Colin Biggers & Paisley Foundation brings together our entire community offering and is comprised of three streams – pro bono legal services, volunteering and charitable contributions. To ensure maximum impact, the core focus of our Foundation is to promote and protect the rights of women, children and Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people. As such our major partnerships are with organisations that work in the areas of our core focus We offer all our partners not only sponsorship but volunteering and pro bono legal services. We sponsor over 250 clubs/community groups via our Community Discount programme - our products are discounted for eligible charities and non-profit organizations. It s our way of supporting grass roots work through the power of connection, as well as giving back to the community. For example: -we sponsor Gippsland Rotary Centenary House by providing free internet and staff for tech support. Centenary House offers low-cost accommodation for patients undergoing treatment at Latrobe Regional Hospital and their families. -Frustrated by lack of access to WiFi services for the Gippsland tourist town of Fish Creek, the ladies of the Fish Creek Tea Cosy Festival reached out to us for help. As a result, we ve established a free public WiFi network in Fish Creek. By providing a WiFi network, we are helping to support tourism and small business in regional Victoria.
