Sodexo has a national sponsorship program aligned to its Corporate Social Responsibility roadmap - Better Tomorrow 2025. Our sponsorship program budget for FY21/22 totals approximately $600,000 for our major sponsorships. This includes a budget of $200,000 per annum for local and regional sponsorships through sports clubs, schools and community groups, located in areas where we operate, to apply for support. Some examples of our larger sponsorships:
      - Foodbank Australia: As part of our national partnership with Foodbank over the past six years, we’ve donated more than $224,400 equating to 448,800 meals through the Key Staples Program. Sodexo employees also regularly volunteer at Foodbank warehouses and community kitchens, collect food donations and fundraise to meet the unprecedented demand for food relief. This year we raised an overall $38,342 for Foodbank Australia.
      - Indigenous Partnerships: Sodexo has long committed to investing time and experience to improve educational outcomes for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples, including through partnerships with Stars Foundation and Yalari, which were established in 2021. In addition to financial support which enables these charities to continue their great work, Sodexo also provides a number of other opportunities for their students including training pathway programs and work experience opportunities. We also work with their alumni programs to offer direct employment opportunities to all three organisations. Sodexo was also proud to offer the food and catering for Yalari camps in 2021.
      - Perth Children’s Hospital Foundation: Sodexo has provided more than $550,000 in funding to enable vital projects at the hospital, including a study on Vitamin D deficiencies in Aboriginal children, development of 3D orthoses for children, and the purchase of specialised neonatal intensive care equipment.
      - Australian Resources & Energy Employer Association (AREEA): Our partnership with AREEA spans more than 10 years, providing advocacy in the mental health and gender equity space, working with the KDCCI (Karratha & Districts Chamber of Commerce & Industry), and supporting local projects, procurement, and small businesses.
      - Facilities Management Association (FMA): Sodexo sponsors various business and industry events, seminars, national summits, and the annual FMA Industry Awards for Excellence.
      - South District Netball Association: Sodexo’s sponsorship for this all girls sports group totalled $40,000 and included funding jerseys, association uniforms, NAIDOC uniforms, goal post padding, and equipment for the teams, among other things.
