Chooseday 25th April - Choose to Remember, Lest We Forget.

Good Morning,

This Chooseday, on Anzac Day, our day of national commemoration, we choose to remember, reflect and support our veterans.

On Tuesday 25 April, the Australian War Memorial will mark the 108th anniversary of the Gallipoli landings in 1915, as well as commemorating all Australians who have served and died in military operations (AWM, 2023). The Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Commemorative Ceremony is held after the Anzac Day Dawn Service at Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander service Memorial. This commemorative ceremony honors Indigenous Australians who served in Australian forces since 1901. This service is hosted by members of the Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Veterans and Services Association (AWM, 2023). According to the 2021 Census of Population and Housing, more than half a million Australians (581,000) had served, or were currently serving, in the ADF (ABS 2022a).

Join GoodCompany in remembering and honoring the veterans who fought in the atrocities of war.
